Anthropology
and Sociology Associations, Networks, and Web Sites

| Anthropologists and sociologists have formed many professional associations that offer student memberships at special, reasonable rates. The range of resources that each association provides varies somewhat. They typically hold annual conferences and publish newsletters. Larger associations also publish journals. Most have web sites that describe the association's activities and services, and explain how people can join the organization. Most also run e-mail networks that can be useful sources of information on graduate schools, job opportunities, conferences, etc. Some of these are listed below. |
