Our 400-level courses are available on an individualized basis as tutorials and directed studies. You can see the calendar descriptions by clicking on the course numbers, below:

As tutorials . . . . . . . . . the 490 thesis, 420, 440 & 470
As directed studies . . . 495, 497 & 499

If you are interested in taking a course that way, contact the dept. chairperson (Janice Drodge), who will help you make the necessary arrangements.

Note: a recommended guide for evaluating what is involved in taking the (Senior Level) Directed Independent Projects 495 & 497 is posted here.

Calendar courses at the lower levels (100s, 200s, 300s) can also be taken as individualized tutorials, under special circumstances. The procedure is the same.
