Svastika: top right is heavenly state of the soul, top left is the human state of the soul, bottom left is the animal/bird/plant state of the soul, bottom right is hellish beings.  The symbol of the svastika was changed to symbol of OM in 1974 on the 2500th anniversary of Mahavira

 

Hand: centre is the wheel of dharma, sometimes implies ahimsa (non-violence)

 

Writing at the bottom of symbol: All life is bound by mutual support and interdependence (mutual assistance of all beings)

 

Outside shape: shape of universe

 

Overall meaning of symbol for Jains:

Living beings of all three worlds (heaven, hell, earth) suffer from existence (samsara).  Follow the path of true religion (right faith, knowledge and conduct) taught by the tirthankaras (spiritual masters).  This will end your suffering, minimize the suffering of others and help them attain perfection.
