BACHELOR OF ARTS (BA) DEGREES  (Communication)

(I) 3-YEAR GENERAL DEGREE (90 TOTAL CREDITS)
1. BA Core (30 credits)
2. Speciality: Communication (30 credits. REQUIREMENTS: At least 12 credits at [or above] the 3000-level.)

(II) 4-YEAR MAJOR DEGREES (120 TOTAL CREDITS)
A. Major/Minor

1. BA Core (30 credits)
2. Major: Communication (48 credits. REQUIREMENTS: 6 credits from Communication 4800: Directed Study or Communication 4900: Senior Thesis. At least 3 additional credits at the 4000-level [from Communication 4101, 4103, 4104 or 4105]. At least 12 credits at [or above] the 3000-level. 3 credits from Communication 2101: Research Concepts. No more than 9 credits at the 1000-level permitted.)
3. Minor (18 credits)

B. Double Major (120 credits)

(III) 4-YEAR HONOURS DEGREE (120 credits)
REGULATIONS: The BA Honours Communication is a 4-year program designed to prepare students for graduate school as well as careers. To be admitted, students must have an overall average of 65% and an average of 70% in Communication courses in the first two years of study. To complete the program, students must attain an overall average of 70% and an average of 75% in Communication courses taken in the last two years of the program. Honours students complete Communication 4910: Honours Thesis in their final year. For more information, please consult the Department Chair.
