You may notice that many employers want a very specific type of applicant, but, at the same time, seek a diversity of skills. Your undergraduate training forms only the core of a package of abilities. Once you know more about careers that appeal to you, you'll be better able to add to that core by identifying and pursuing relevant opportunities for further education and experience-building. When planning or preparing a resume, think concretely and flexibly about the skills you've acquired through your degree program, on your own, in non-credit courses, as a volunteer, etc. | |

office. The position will work in partnership with the national organization
in developing, enhancing and strengthening the volunteer program, focusing
on the sending and hosting of international service teams. Designs the
IST structure, policies and procedures, training curriculum and educational
resources. Assists in identifying and analyzing program needs and developing
`best practices' for the national program. Provides training on IST topics
for national HFH staff, team leaders and coordinators. Will train and
support a local counterpart who will take over responsibility for the

WOMEN'S HEALTH SPECIALIST - KOSOVO Mercy Corps is seeking a professional and directed specialist to develop and support our Kosovo Women's Health Promotion Project through maternity and MCH training with facility health providers (midwives, nurses, physicians) and home-health nurses and community groups. This position requires licensure as a CNM/LMW/NP/PA and 2 years international experience in developing countries. One year experience with women's health care, community development and project management is required. This position requires strong writing experience and skill. Demonstrated experience and skill with adult education for both facility level and community-based training efforts is vital. Effective verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organizational, prioritization skills are necessary. Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members is required. Flexibility and adaptability to a difficult, changing environment as well as proven self-motivation and interpersonal skills is necessary. Commitment to supporting and nurturing local staff and community volunteers is critical. Experience in the Balkans and a MPH is preferred. Midwifery experience is highly preferred. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM MANGER - AZERBAIJAN The Community Development Program Manager will provide leadership and
management oversight to the community development sector. This is a high
profile position requiring skills in program monitoring, coordination
and technical assistance. Responsible for management and oversight of
community development subgrants, including program development, coordination
within and outside of AHAP, training & consultative services, knowledge
and commitment to local capacity building. Further this position provides
leadership and directive to the community development program as a whole.
This position serves as a senior management team member and requires an
MA/S or equivalent in social science, humanities or other relevant field
and 5 years international work experience of managing and representing
large scale community development and social investment fund programs.
Two years experience with development and implementation of training programs,
community selected and managed projects and contracts management is necessary.
Demonstrated understanding of USAID reporting requirements and program
implementation regulations, and international standards of contract management
accountability and documentation is necessary. Demonstrated completion
of specialized training courses on Community Development, Contract Management,
Institutional Development or similar subjects and relevant exposure and
insight into the political, legal and cultural environment in the Caucasus
is required. Proven experience and ability to monitor the activities of
and offer constructive guidance to IPs and manage the budget of a comparably
sized program. Fluency in English and a working knowledge of Azeri or
